Lovely rooms and like the bathroom.
Staff were a little bit miserable and we had to wait a while to get served in the bar. No enough parking spaces.
love the design of the rooms and especially the restaurant design. good location. easy to find coming into aberdeen.
Rooms were to a very high standard very comfortable and clean. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. Nice venue.
Bar quite busy, slightly difficult to get a seat.
The hotel decor is lovely and the service is very good. We have stayed there a number of times and love the dining room and especially the signature steak for two.
On this occasion only our steak was dreadful - however we were very well compensated for our disappointment and had a few Cosmos in the bar afterwards! Also there is an urgent need for a well lit mirror either in the bedroom or bathroom as it is very difficult for ladies to apply their makeup properly in the dim lighting.
The interior design was beautiful and very fitting for the Oil Capital. Staff were very friendly and the whole atmosphere was just what we needed to relax and enjoy our visit.
Good comfortable hotel and staff were very helpful. I couldn't fault the service which was excellent but just didn't like the hotel or its location (see below).
Not really hotel for older couple in my view. Mainly for young crowd interested in drinking etc..Decor is too dark and some of the facitlities eg shower are poorly designed. Lighting in rooms is totally inadequate. Parking facilities are also extremely poor. We stayed here because we were attending a family wedding nearby but wouldn't recommend it for a leisure trip. .Breakfast wasn't great and expensive. I don't like hotels were breakfast is not included in the room price. Not great value for money overall.
The room was fabulous, incredibly comfortable and the bath was perfectly positioned for sipping champagne while chatting with hubby reclining on the sofa. As far as extras in the room go, they really have thought of everything.
We were offered a private dining room when we booked dinner as we were making a reservation for 10 people, however when we came to pay the bill there was an additional £100 added - make sure that all hidden costs are discussed up front!
A touch of class about it and a romantic place to spend time, enhanced by a fine dining experience and boutique hotel setting supported by excellent service all round.
The only criticism is that when sitting in the bar we sat at a high island table that was freestanding (not fixed to the floor) and because it was busy with people, everyone kept bashing into the table which violently shook and wobbled badly everytime (it should have been a solid fixture) and because there was nowhere else to sit made us very uncomfortable. A small detail that could easily be resolved to enhance people's comfort. These sort of details are important because it says alot about quality.
The style in the rooms was good and it was backed up with some substance. The location is excellent for shopping and it was close to the restaurant I booked for my daughter's birthday
I was on the ground floor (room 007) and the corridor always smelled of raw meat? Odd. I wanted to have my daughter's birthday party in the hotel but couldn't get a booking - which turned out ok because the layout of the restaurant is lousy, the food is below average and its as noisy as hell in there.
The decor and style was very tasteful with an accompanying ambience. Staff very friendly and courteous. Restaurant staff very open to feedback on the food served (lunch), which overall was very good.
Great looking hotel from the outside, very friendly staff at check in, loved the vibe and decor, cracking room and a fantastic restaurant. All set within a very trendy, Scottish inspired hotel.
Nothing, genuinely everything was fantastic
good food, good staff, lovely rooms, although the foyer fire needs topping up more frequently
foyer layout when front doors open it gets very cold even with the fire on they could do with turnstile type doors to keep the heat in
Beautifullly decorated hotel with luxury rooms. We enjoyed the use of the Spa while there to relax.
We liked the quirky decoration, the toiletries and the shower
The room was rather small, as was the TV. No view. The cooked breakfast was disappointing, too - the bacon undercooked and flabby!
We had a really lovely time from arrival friendly staff recognising a specail occassion , helpful friendly staff through out . lovel food. whole hotel spotless ly clean . We will be back
My Grandson would like a swimming pool !! lol
